Sandra A. Prebil
Sandra A. Prebil graduated from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and received her J.D. degree in 1978. That year she was admitted to the Ohio State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She has a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan with majors in political science and history. She completed post graduate certification in Public Administration from Wayne State University. She is a graduate of Notre Dame Academy (now NDCL).
Sandra practices law in the areas of debtor/creditor relations, estate planning and end of life care, consumer relations, probate, small business planning and general family law.
Prior to joining the firm, Sandra served as Vice President of Operations for the Better Business Bureau of Greater Cleveland. While there, she graduated from the BBB Executive Training Institute, was certified as a mediator and arbitrator, served on the Cleveland Auto Dealers Arbitration Panel, and was a BBB trainer in the Military Line Program. She represented the Bureau in numerous community groups and consumer organizations and was a frequent presenter at events. She participated in statewide trainings and conferences in the business/consumer relations field, serving both as organizer and presenter.
Earlier in her career, Sandra was an Assistant Director of Law in the City of Cleveland Office of Consumer Affairs where she drafted legislation, prosecuted unfair trade practices and mediated consumer business disputes.
Sandra also spent time maintaining a solo legal practice, specializing in family and consumer law. After college, she was a 7th grade teacher at local parochial schools while attending law school.
Sandra is a member of the Cleveland Bar Association, a trained Guardian Ad Litem, and a certified mediator. She volunteers at the Hospice of the Western Reserve and at the Cleveland United Way where she has served on the Organizational Assessment Committee since its inception. Throughout her career she has volunteered on numerous non profit Boards and action committees.
